"Stained Glass Windows of the Elk Rapids History Museum"

                                                                                                  Ruth Bay

After more than a year of research and study, Ruth Bay, Historian and Genealogist, will share the mysteries and discoveries of these magnificent 13 stained glass windows. Nine of the 13 windows were created by noted artist John J. Kinsella from Chicago in 1902 with glass from the Kocomo glass works in Indiana.
These wondeful pieces are probably one of the few area original art pieces to
survive from beginning of the last century.
Historical important and artistically significant these windows are a tribute to the Elk Rapids community's support for their preservation and restoration.
